In my page about the whakapapa series I mentioned that I would look to represent individuals who have a Maori and some other ethnicity mix - Maori/Samoan, Maori/Japanese...whatever mix is out there.
If you would like to be considered as a "muse" please send some detail about yourself in the post comments box and I will see what we can do, I am looking for as many different combinations as I can find.

Kia Ora Leonie,
ReplyDeleteI admire your creative and passion for not only whakapapa but it appears all of your artwork is special, purposeful and meaningful to you. Following our discussion earlier this week, I'd love to be apart of what you are trying to achieve. I have very little knowledge about my own whakapapa, although I am proud to say I am Maori, Chinese and European. My mother Margaret Nikora is from Ngati Maniapoto and Tainui (grew up in Te Kuiti and Ngaruawahia). Her fathers name is Hone Nikora (Te Amohanga) and mother is Phyllis Menzies (from Nofolk Island).
My father Kevin Sue is Chinese, New Zealand born and grew up in Levin (family members are still running market gardens on Buller Rd). My fathers dad, Robert Sue is from Guangzhou, China and mother, Joyce Sue is from Hong Kong.
I look forward to hearing from you soon, you can contact me on ksue@wanganui-girls.school.nz.
